Studying the text, testing the recipes, assessing the visual impact – the core work of choosing the top books in each category is done by four teams of Volunteer Jurors, all food professionals chosen by the National Awards Committee. The English-language books are selected by three teams team of five judges, one each from Cuisine Canada’s five culinary regions. The French-language books are evaluated by a separate team of five judges. A Volunteer Coordinator guides each group.
